Sarah Weihert of the Watertown Daily Times recently wrote a nice piece on Watertown All Breed Community, our history, and what we do in the community. The article was was featured in the Fall Friends and Family magazine that Watertown Daily Times publishes.
It's so nice to have a newspaper that not only covers local news and events, but also helps people and organizations in the community connect with each other. During the months of June and July, the Watertown All Breed Community will be launching the “Pawsitive Reinforcement Watertown” campaign. This campaign will reward dog owners of Watertown for showing acts of responsible ownership. Members of the WABC will be handing out coupons donated by local businesses when any act of responsible dog ownership is displayed. Examples of responsible dog ownership would include: picking up after the dog, walking the dog on leash, going off sidewalk to let other people pass, asking their dog to sit at intersections, proper interaction with public, using force free methods. Overall Watertown All Breed Community would like to promote using good judgment and positive training. We'll be posting photos of responsible dog owners with their coupons throughout the campaign. Stay tuned! |
